For its meticulous care for sound, its richness of timbre, and its masterful shaping of sonic layers, the work stands out for a style that is remarkably complete—at once orchestral, classical and modern. The new score for Murnau’s Faust confronts with great skill the challenge of nearly two hours of storytelling, supporting each scene with a rare compositional effectiveness, always coherent and finely attentive to characterization. Its eclecticism is never dispersive: from the dialogue between acoustic, electric, and electronic elements arises a narrative unity in which the shadows of enchantment, the breath of reality and human suffering find their voice. The technical exploration—particularly in the strings—is refined, and the use of music in a dramaturgical function is brilliant, capable even of evoking absent sounds.

For the quality, dedication, and originality demonstrated, this work rightfully asserts itself as the winner of Rimusicazioni 2025.
